Every year on the 1st August my family and I celebrate Yorkshire Day - and what better way to celebrate than with hand picked Yorkshire Puddings, fresh from the Kitchen Garden…

Inspired by the iconic 1957 BBC "Spaghetti Tree Hoax", this light-hearted video imagines a world where Yorkshire puddings grow fresh from the branch, ready to be harvested in time for Sunday lunch. Created as a spoof for Yorkshire Day, the video mimics the tone of the vintage documentary, blending slow pans, dramatic narration, and gentle countryside visuals — all with tongue firmly in cheek.

Shot in the gardens of Goldsborough Hall, the idea was to celebrate Yorkshire culture with a creative twist and a dash of humour.

Special thanks to Ben the Labrador, who fully committed to his role as official taster — and enjoyed more than his fair share of the harvest.
